Roxy had to get to downtown Metro City. She had to stop that giant pink blob! " I'll be back soon! " Roxy said to her friends. “ I’m, uh, going to go look for Mara! ” Roxy ran off. Jack scratched his head.

“ I thought Roxy didn't know where Mara is. ” Terrell frowned. “ I hope she comes back soon. We can't play kickball with just two people. " A minute later Roxy zoomed into downtown Metro City. The blob was pink and really, really big. Roxy watched it move slowly up the side of a skyscraper.

“ That looks like bubble gum, " thought Roxy. She sniffed the air. “ It smells like bubble gum too! ” “ Rocket Girl! ” called a voice. It was Detective Smith. Roxy flew to him. “ You know, Detective, " she said. “ You're supposed to throw your gum in the trash. ”

“ Ha-ha. ” Detective Smith pretended to laugh. “ That's not my gum. ” “ So where did that blob come from?" asked Roxy. Detective Smith shook his head. “ Nobody knows. It's been here for an hour, and it keeps growing.

If we don't do something soon, it will cover the entire city! ” A bus came around the corner. “ Ahh! ” cried the bus driver. He slammed on the brakes. Screech! The bus skidded. The blob reached out. Shlurp! Pink slime oozed all over the bus. The blob pulled the bus closer. Everyone inside began to scream.
