This summer, I am excited to visit Peking University, which was founded in 1898. It is the first national comprehensive university in China, originally called the Imperial University of Peking.

The university has a rich history and played a significant role in China's modernization.

Peking University is known as the center of the New Culture Movement and the May Fourth Movement. It was also the birthplace of Marxism and democratic scientific thoughts in China.

The university has greatly contributed to the nation's progress and development, nurturing many influential figures like Chen Duxiu, Li Dazhao, Mao Zedong, and Lu Xun.

In 1917, Cai Yuanpei became the university president and promoted academic freedom and inclusiveness, leading to significant reforms.

Today, Peking University remains a leading institution, fostering high-quality talent and servingas a bridge for international exchange.
