Dragon Master ARUNA HOME Aruna lives in the Temple of the Shadow Dragon in the land of Sindhu. STRENGTHS Aruna is not afraid to take big risks— like she did when she fed a magical seed to her dragon, hoping it would save the world. Also, her love for her brother, Darpan, is very strong. When she is not busy training her dragon, she loves to dance.

BACKGROUND Aruna and her older brother, Darpan, were born in the city surrounding the Temple of the Shadow Dragon. Their mother, Lakshmi, is an artist. Her work appears in her home and on the walls of homes around the village. Their father, Hari, is a scholar who studies the dragons of Sindhu. DRAGON Chaya the Shadow Dragon

SINDHU This very large land contains several different nations, each with its own ruler. The Temple of the Shadow Dragon is located in Tiru Nadu. Tiru Nadu is known for its beautiful temples. Many of them are hundreds of years old. Temple of the Shadow Dragon Built in Tiru Nadu more than a hundred years ago, the temple is 208 feet tall. It is made of granite, a very hard stone.

King Vikram The ruler of Tiru Nadu is known for his gentle spirit. He studies poetry and enjoys writing poems, too.

Dragon CHAYA THE SHADOW DRAGON Chaya is a gentle dragon who uses his Shadow powers to keep people cool. After being cursed with evil magic, his powers became supercharged and he cast a shadow that could have kept the world in darkness forever. DRAGON MASTER Aruna

POWERS Chaya can create a shadow that streams from his nose. He can control where the shadow goes and even use it to grab things. The shadow can hide Chaya and Aruna from an opponent during a battle. Chaya can stream helpful shadow creatures from his mouth. (When he was cursed, these cute creatures turned evil!) POWER COLOR gray SIZE LENGTH: 34 feet WEIGHT: 5,800 pounds Chaya is not an evil dragon. Eating the seed of the Balam flower made him that way. I have never known a dragon to do anything harmful on purpose, unless that dragon was under magical control. —Griffith
