Dragon Master QUILLA HOME Quilla is from Ichu Mocco, but she and her dragon had to leave to avoid capture by an evil queen. STRENGTHS Quilla is quick-thinking and smart. She knew how to keep evil Queen Amaru from using Wayra's powers to harm the people in her queendom. Quilla and Rori have a lot in common. They both love to fly fast, high in the sky on their dragons.

BACKGROUND Quilla grew up in the large city of Ichu Mocco with her family. Her parents, Chasca and Illapa, are known for making beautiful pottery. Her brother, Colca, and her sister, Mayu, are both learning the trade. Quilla would have become a potter, too, if she had not been chosen to be a Dragon Master. DRAGON Wayra the Wind Dragon

ICHU MOCCO Ruled by the city of Ichu Mocco, this queendom is in a mountain range. The people there call the ocean Mama Cocha, after the goddess who lives there. Farmers work the land between the shore and the mountains, growing golden corn and potatoes with red and purple skins. The city is home to all kinds of crafters. Weavers create colorful designs in fabrics. Silver workers make beautiful jewelry. Wood carvers and potters make objects that are both useful and beautiful. Ichu Mocco Mama Cocba

Queen Hmaru Before Queen Amaru, Queen Inti ruled over a peaceful land. But Queen Amaru began training hundreds of new soldiers when she took power. And she captured Wayra to use as a weapon. Her people whisper that she plans to try to conquer neighboring lands. This is unusual because most rulers in the world took a vow against war fifteen years ago during the Great Peace Accord. The people of Ichu Mocco do not want war. But most are afraid to stand up to this evil queen.

Dragon WAYRA THE WIND DRAGON A swift and graceful flyer, Wayra's powers can be as gentle as a breeze or as forceful as a hurricane. DRAGON MASTER Quilla Training Tip The best weather for training a Wind Dragon is a windy day, of course. They are experts at riding on the winds, and it seems to give them extra energy. But if a storm kicks up, avoid training. The combination of high winds and rain or snow can be too challenging for a Wind Dragon.

POWERS Wayra can communicate with any creature that flies, from bees to birds to butterflies. She can blow a mighty wind from her mouth that can knock any opponent off its feet or gently carry someone through the air.
