Dragon Master TESSA SILVAN HOME Tessa lives in Remus, one of the largest cities in the world. Tessa's Staff When Tessa is not riding Sono, she uses this staff to help her get around. She moves the staff in front of her, a little wider than her body, to make sure it's clear to take a step. STRENGTHS Tessa is confident and brave when faced with danger. She is blind and has a close connection with her dragon, Sono, who helps Tessa explore the world. Tessa and her friend Petra train their dragons together, with a wizard named Felix.

BACKGROUND Tessa's parents, Livia and Titus, are musicians known for keeping the music of ancient Remus alive. Livia plays a stringed instrument called a kithara. Titus, who is blind like Tessa, plays the drums. DRAGON Sono the Sound Dragon I am grateful to Tessa for keeping a cool head when her wizard, Felix, got into a magical battle with a dangerous wizard named Marco. I got turned into a duck trying to stop that battle! Thankfully, Tessa knew to bring me to the Castle of the wizards, to get help. —Griffith

THE CITY OF REMUS Remus is the biggest and most important city in the land of Vitus. Hospital For the Infirm Remus was the first city to build a place where sick people can come and be seen by doctors. The Arena Citizens gather here to watch sports competitions and magic demonstrations. They also come here to enjoy music and theater. The Museum of Art Remus is known for its great paintings and sculptures.

City Walls These strong walls have protected the city from invaders since ancient times. The Giant of Remus For centuries, a huge statue of a soldier greeted visitors to Remus. It was destroyed during the great magical battle between wizards Marco and Felix. The people of Remus decided that the new statue should be an artist instead of a soldier. Diana Clara, the City Major Every ten years, the residents of Remus vote on who they want to manage the city's affairs. The person who gets the most votes becomes the city major. Diana Clara is the current city major. She was elected after the wizard battle damaged much of the city. She has been working hard to repair the damage and bring new businesses to Remus.

Dragon SONO THE SOUND DRAGON Sono and Tessa have a special relationship. Because Tessa is blind, Sono is often Tessa's guide as she moves through the world. Sono lets Tessa know what is happening in their surroundings. This helps Tessa avoid obstacles, interact with others, and explore the world around her. DRAGON MASTER Tessa Silvan

POWERS Sono and her rider can turn into sound waves and travel from one place to another at super speed. In her sound wave form, Sono can pass through solid things, such as walls. Sono can make powerful sound waves that break up rocks. She can make existing sounds louder or softer and control where they go.
