Dragon Master MINA OF THE FAR NORTH HOME Mina was born in the Far North Lands. She currently lives in the fortress of King Lars and Queen Sigrid, where she trains with Hulda of the Icy Plains. Mina's Ax Mina's ax might not be magical, but it is very practical. She can use it to chop wood and to break ice when fishing or climbing. She once used it to shatter a magical object to pieces!

STRENGTHS Like many people of the Far North, Mina is strong in body and spirit. Mina traveled by herself for many days to save her kingdom. She has the true heart of a Dragon Master and she does not give up easily. She formed a bond with King Roland's Dragon Masters and has promised to help them if they ever need it. BACKGROUND Mina's parents are Gyda and Erik, animal doctors who began learning how to care for dragons after Mina became a Dragon Master. She has a little brother named Fisk. THE FAR NORTH LANDS The Far North Lands are a group of four kingdoms just above Bracken. The kingdoms each have their own rulers. Hundreds of years ago, the kingdoms were in a long war with one another. Then giants from the Ice Fields attacked the Far North Lands using might and magic. The kingdoms joined together to fight off the giants. There has been peace ever since.

In much of these lands, winter lasts for six months out of the year. The people there have learned to live with ice and snow. They spend most of their time outdoors. They even invented a sport that involves pushing a stone across an icy pond with sticks.

Dragon FROST THE ICE DRAGON An Ice Giant named Vasty used magic to turn Frost against Mina and his kingdom. But when Mina broke the spell, Frost helped to save the day! POWERS Frost has freezing-cold breath. He can blast his opponents with an icy chill. He can even trap them in a block of ice! He is a strong, fast flyer.
