Dragon Master CARLOS ALMA HOME The Land of Aragon, where he trains with Diego of the Sandy Shores. STRENGTHS Carlos took on a big challenge: to train a baby Lightning Dragon that is always shooting sparks! Patience is important when you are training a baby dragon, and Carlos has a lot of it. His grandmother taught him to be helpful and a hard worker. I invited Carlos to live at the castle in Bracken, but he chose to remain in Aragon to be close to his grandmother. —Griffith

BACKGROUND When the Dragon Stone found Carlos, he was living with his grandmother, Nita, in a fishing village. Abuela Carlos calls Nita "Abuela," which is the word for grandmother in the old language of Aragon. DRAGON Lalo the Lightning Dragon

THE LAND OF ARAGON Aragon is a large coastal kingdom south of Bracken, and below the land of Gallia. Most of the people there live along the rocky coast. Aragon is known for having great fishermen and women, and skilled boat makers. Arsa Sea Inside the Land

Queen Sofia is the ruler of Aragon. Diego of the Sandy Shores is her royal wizard. Queen Sofia allows Diego to live in his cottage by the sea instead of in the palace. (He can "poof" to the royal city of Ursa quickly if she needs him.)

Dragon LALO THE LIGHTNING DRAGON Lalo is just a baby dragon right now, but his powers are very strong! DRAGON MASTER Carlos Alma

POWERS Lalo is made of energy, so he can pass through things that are solid, such as stone walls. He can fly with the speed of lightning. His wings can create sizzling lightning bolts and sparks. SIZE LENGTH: 12 feet WEIGHT: He will not stay still long enough for Diego to weigh him. And because he is made of energy, it is possible that he doesn't have any real weight. POWER COLOR Training Tip Baby dragons need lots of sleep! Carlos makes sure Lalo is well rested before any training session.
