驯龙大师 · 29 Magic of the Wizard Dragon
CHAPTER 2 WOLFGANG Drake stared at the boy. Before Zoltan had turned into a dragon, he was a human with blond hair and a long mustache. This boy had light brown hair and wore thin glasses with square frames. His colorful clothes gave him a friendly appearance. He wore a green robe, a blue tunic, and striped pink pants. "Your dad is Zoltan? Are you evil, too?" Rori asked.
"Rori, just because his dad is evil doesn't mean he's evil, too," Drake said. He looked at Wolfgang. "I mean, unless you are?" "Does it matter?" Wolfgang asked. "Everyone thinks I am! Ever since my dad turned into a dragon and flew past the castle, everyone's been teasing me. I almost got into a fight in the dining room. I panicked and poofed here to get away, but here you are. And you're not wizards. So, who are you?" "We're Dragon Masters. I'm Drake, and this is my dragon, Worm," Drake replied. "I'm Rori, and my dragon, Vulcan, is in the stables," Rori added. "And I don't really think you're evil. But I had to ask."
"I understand," Wolfgang said with a sigh. "My dad wasn't always evil. But my mom died when I was two, and it changed him. Dad started ignoring me to study magic all the time. He was always down in his workshop in our creepy castle in Gothica." "I'm sorry," Drake said. "Yeah, that must have been hard," Rori agreed.
Wolfgang nodded. "Then my dad became obsessed with an evil wizard named Maldred. He wanted to get really powerful so he could finally meet Maldred and team up with him." "I was in that castle and saw your dad," Drake remarked. "He was definitely obsessed with Maldred!" "I got my wizard powers when I was five, and Dad sent me to live here at school," Wolfgang continued. "He used to visit once in a while. But when he heard that Maldred was trapped, he stopped coming. He worked night and day to find a way to free him." Drake nodded. "Your dad had planned to use the powers of the Dream World to free Maldred. I'm sorry we couldn't stop him from getting there."
"I don't think anyone could have," Wolfgang said. "I learned how to poof from place to place last year. I missed my dad, so I went to see him. All he talked about was freeing Maldred. He said that if his Dream World plan didn't work out, he knew about a secret doorway to the Naga in a land called Barga." "But the doorway to the Naga isn't in Barga," Drake protested. "It's on the Dragon Islands."
Wolfgang shrugged. "Dad was pretty sure about the secret door. I know he's headed to Barga. I'm going there myself to stop him! Then I'll be a hero, and everyone will stop teasing me." "You shouldn't go alone, Wolfgang," Drake said. Rori nodded. "We'll go with—" Poof! Wolfgang disappeared!
