7 Ghost Goop

CHAPTER 7 GHOST GOOP Phantom! Use Ghost Goop!" Sandor yelled as his Dragon Stone glowed. Slimy purple stuff shot from Phantom's mouth. The dragon's goop hit the shrieking spirit. "Nooooooooooo!" the spirit wailed. It flew away, leaving a trail of slime.

"Was that a ghost?" Drake asked. "And is Phantom a ghost, too?" Bo added. "Come into the dining room," Sandor said. "There is a lot to explain." Sandor led them to a large room. Candles flickered in a chandelier hanging from the ceiling. In the corner, a set of musical chimes softly clanked together, even though the window shutters were closed. Sandor, Drake, and Bo sat at a long table. Shu and Worm settled on the floor. Phantom floated above them all.

"That spirit who surprised us is a ghost. But Phantom is a Ghost Dragon," Sandor explained. "He has ghostlike powers. He can float through doors and walls. He can vanish in an instant. And his Spirit Attack is what made you two float in the air." "What was that purple stuff?" Drake asked. "Ghost Goop." Sandor replied. "Ghosts hate how it feels. And a lot of goop can stop anyone in their tracks if they can't shake it off. Also, his Ghost Wail power can stun someone for a short time." "Those powers could be useful when we face Zoltan," Bo remarked. "Yes," Drake agreed. "Now we need to go to Zoltan's workshop and get that stolen orb." Sandor shook his head. "It's not that simple. I'll show you. Phantom, use Ghost Vision to let us see and hear what's happening downstairs."

Phantom's body softly glowed with purple light. A bubble came out of each of his nostrils. One grew as large as his head and hovered in the air, glowing. The other turned into a big eyeball.

The eyeball floated out into the hallway. "What's happening?" Drake asked. "Watch the glowing bubble," Sandor replied.

An image appeared inside the bubble. They saw a staircase leading down. "We are seeing what Phantom's floating eye is seeing!" Bo grinned. The eyeball showed them a gloomy, gray dungeon lit by a few torches. A stone wall blocked Zoltan's workshop. The entrance was a double door covered in metal gears. "Zoltan cast a shield spell on this wall that keeps me and Phantom from floating into his workshop," Sandor explained. "So sometimes we spy on Zoltan through a crack in the wall. That's how we discovered he stole the orb."
