6 Learning to Trust

CHAPTER 6 LEARNING TO TRUST Sandor fell backward onto the ground and the rope of red energy disappeared. Drake ran over and helped him stand up. "Zoltan's spell traps you here?! That's mean," Drake remarked.

Bo stepped forward. "Sandor, I can help you. My dragon, Shu, can cure spells." Sandor frowned. "A dragon can do that? Why would you do that for us after we tried to scare you away?" "Dragon Masters help those who need it. Now, you and Phantom must stand together and remain still," Bo replied. Sandor turned to his dragon. His Dragon Stone glowed as they communicated. "Phantom wants me to trust you," Sandor told Bo. "We're ready." Bo's Dragon Stone glowed. "Shu, please use your healing mist to break the binding spell that is on Sandor and Phantom."

Shu glided over to them. A misty, blue cloud floated out of her mouth. It rained on Sandor and Phantom.

The blue mist faded. "Did that work?" Sandor asked. "I don't feel any different." Bo motioned toward the bridge. "Give it a try," he said with a smile. Sandor stepped on it with one foot. Then he took another step, and another... "It worked!" Sandor cried. "Phantom, we're free!" Phantom floated out to join Sandor. They began to cross the bridge. "Thanks, Drake and Bo!" Sandor called behind them.

"Sandor, wait!" Drake yelled. "Zoltan is trying to do something dangerous with that orb he stole. We need your help to stop him." Sandor paused. "It's not a good idea to mess with Zoltan. He's very powerful." Bo joined them. "You know more about your wizard than anyone. Imagine what damage he could do if he enters the Dream World," he said. Sandor's eyes got wide. "Dream World?" Drake and Bo explained what they knew about the Dream Orb and why wizards were not allowed to use it.

"It will not be easy to get the orb from Zoltan," Bo said. "But we are Dragon Masters. We must try. It's the right thing to do." Sandor took a deep breath. "You're right. I am a Dragon Master. I will help you. Let's figure out a plan." As they made their way back inside the castle, they heard a horrible shriek. "OOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" A white floating spirit with glowing black eyes flew right toward them!
