CHAPTER 1 A SPECIAL MISSION A bright green light flashed in front of the Castle of the Wizards in the land of Belerion. The glow faded to reveal two boys and two dragons. Drake was there, with his brown Earth Dragon, Worm. So was Bo, with his blue Water Dragon, Shu. "Thank you for transporting us here, Worm," Bo said.

The wizard guard at the door approached them. "The Head Wizard is waiting for you. She said you may bring your dragons with you." "Thank you," Drake said. "I know the way." The castle was a place where young wizards went to be trained. It sat on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The sun was setting as Drake, Bo, Worm, and Shu entered. Magic classes were over for the day. Torches on the stone walls lit up the hallway. The classrooms were dark and quiet. Drake could hear the distant sound of student wizards talking and laughing on the floors above them.

"Drake! Bo! Thank you for coming quickly," Jayana, the Head Wizard, greeted them. Jayana waited in the doorway of her workshop. Her long white hair hung down her back in a ponytail. She wore an orange dress with fabric draped over her shoulder. Bo bowed his head. "It is an honor to meet you," he said. Jayana smiled. "You, too, Bo. And it is always good to see you, Drake." "Please tell us about the new mission," Drake replied. "A powerful, magical object has been stolen from the castle," Jayana began. "We believe it's now in a land called Gothica. We need you two to bring it back!"
