12. FIND THE SCROLL!

CHAPTER 12 FIND THE SCROLL! Drake and Jean burst into Vanad's home, while their dragons waited outside. Darpan was still there, searching for clues to help his sister. "Did you see Aruna? What happened?" the boy asked.

"It's a long story," Drake replied. "But we know a way to help Aruna and Chaya." "Darpan, have you seen a scroll that mentions a Star Dragon?" Jean asked. The boy rushed to a wooden chest in the corner of the room. "Vanad's scrolls are in here!" Darpan said. He opened the lid. Then Drake heard Worm inside his head. We are under attack! "Jean, come quickly!" Drake cried.

He ran to the front window, and Jean followed. Outside, a dozen shadow phantoms zoomed toward the dragons. "What do we do?" Drake asked out loud. "Worm can't freeze them." If Argent and I work together, I think we can stop them, Worm told him. Drake told Jean what Worm had said, and she nodded.

"Argent, work with Worm!" she yelled. She turned back to Darpan. "Find the scroll! We'll protect you!" "Will do!" Darpan called back. Worm glowed green, and Argent glowed silver. A group of shadow phantoms charged toward them.

Then a blinding, bright green light shone from Worm. Argent opened his wings.

Whoosh! Argent's shiny wings reflected the green light onto the attacking shadow phantoms. When the dazzling glow hit them, they dissolved!
