CHAPTER 12 A MAGICAL FRUIT The large fish snapped at Fig with its sharp teeth. Bop! Tana's purple-and-green tail became visible. It smacked the fish. The fish splashed back into the water.

Fig landed safely on the other side of the moat. Tana's tail became invisible again, and so did Fig. The energy field protecting the Dragon Tree shimmered. Then Fig and Tana appeared in front of Drake, Worm, and Val. "You did it!" Val cried, running to hug Fig. The baby dragon spat out five purple fruits. Then Tana nudged Fig with her snout. Fig gobbled one up. The little dragon's body began to glow. The glow faded as the fruit's magic took hold. Fig smiled. Now Fig will keep her a bility to become visible whenever she wants to, Worm told Drake.

"We need to get these fruits back to the rest of Tana's babies, before their horns sprout!" Drake remembered. Val stuffed the four remaining fruits into their bag. Everyone hurried back through the tunnel to Yeray. The father dragon was faintly visible. He is feeling stronger already, Worm told Drake.

"Good! Get ready to transport back to Queen Sofia's castle," Drake said. Val pointed at Fig, frowning. "Drake, look! There's a little bump in the middle of Fig's forehead," Val said. "If Fig's horn is starting to sprout —" "— the other babies might be sprouting their third horns, too!" Drake cried. He touched Worm. "Worm, please transport us now. We've got to get this fruit to the other baby dragons before it's too late!"
