Dinosaurs Part three Some dinosaurs, such as the Potosaurus, were big. With its long neck, it could reach high into the treetops. The apatosaurus could whip its large tail around to scare off other dinosaurs. Some dinosaurs were small, like the Compsognathus, only about the size of a chicken. Despite its small size, Compsognathus was fast and could quickly run away from larger enemies.
