Chinese knots gradually developed as a decoration during the Tang and Song Dynasties (618 AD-1279 AD), and prevailed from the Ming and Qing Dynasties(1368 AD-1912 AD) up to now.

Traditionally, Chinese knots are expected to ward off evil spirits and act as lucky charms.

They are widely used today to decorate homes during festivities and celebrations.

And they are also very common in traditional jade jewelry and clothes.

In Chinese language, “ knot” has the meanings of reunion, friendliness, warmth, marriage, love, etc.

Chinese knots are often used to express some good wishes including happiness, prosperity, and love.
