黄鹤楼

Yellow Crane Tower is located on the top of Snake Hill in Wuchang, on the south bank of the Yangtze River in Wuhan, Hubei Province.

As a national 5A level tourist attraction, it has been known as " the first tower under heaven" and " the most beautiful scenery in China" since ancient times.

Together with Qinchuan Pavilion and Ancient Lute Pavilion, it is one of the three famous scenic spots in Wuhan.

Built in 223 AD during the Three Kingdoms era, the tower was initially a military lookout.

After the unification of the three kingdoms, it lost its military value and evolved into a place for officials and tourists to enjoy banquets and sightseeing as Jiangxia city developed.

Famous Tang Dynasty poets, such as Cui Hao and Li Bai, wrote poems here, making the Yellow Crane Tower renowned.
