圆明园

Yuanmingyuan Park, located in the northwest of Beijing, is the most magnificent royal garden of the Qing Dynasty.

Its construction began in 1707 under Emperor Kangxi and was completed around 1796.

The park includes the Eternal Spring Garden, Wanchun Garden, and Yuanmingyuan Garden, covering over 160, 000 square meters.

Yuanmingyuan, meaning " round and bright, " reflects the essence of ancient Chinese gardening, drawing inspiration from Suzhou gardens.

It housed numerous scenic areas, imitating famous parks, lakes, and mountains.

The park also served as an art museum, home to many exotic flowers, trees, and artworks.
