彝族文化

The Yi people have a long history, dating back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties.

They originally settled in the Jiangnan area and eventually moved to the regions of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou.

These areas are known as the " Great Yi Area. " The Yi have their own written language since around the 7th century BCE.

Their social structure underwent significant changes in the 7th century CE, forming the Yi ethnic group we know today.

The Yi people practice a unique religion called Tianshang. It is based on celestial bodies like stars, the moon, and tides.

They also worship their ancestors and believe that their spirits protect their descendants.
