The Terracotta Warriors are located 1. 5 kilometers east of Emperor Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum in Lintong, Xian, Shaanxi Province.

This site is one of the most significant historical and cultural landmarks in the region.

Emperor Qin Shihuang, who became emperor at 13 in 246 BC, started constructing his mausoleum shortly after taking the throne.

The project took 11 years to complete and is believed to house many treasures and sacrificial items meant for his afterlife.

The Terracotta Warriors are life-sized statues, each varying in height, uniform, and hairstyle based on their military rank.

Originally painted in bright colors and equipped with real weapons like spears and swords, most of these details have faded or deteriorated over time.
