布达拉宫

The Potala Palace is an ancient and magnificent palace built by the hands and wisdom of the Tibetan and Chinese people.

Known as the jewel of the roof of the world, it has stood for thousands of years.

This imposing and majestic palace inspires admiration with its grand architecture and historical significance.

It is located on the Red Hill in the northwest of Lhasa, combining a palace, castle, and monastery, and houses numerous historical artifacts.

In 1961, the Potala Palace was declared one of the first national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.

In 1994, it was inscribed on the World Heritage List. The palace was originally constructed in the 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo for Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty.
