Grain Rain, or Guyu, is the final solar term of spring, signifying the arrival of late spring.

The sweet melodies of the cuckoo bird can be heard while seedlings are being freshly transplanted.

It is not just grains that are sown during this season, but also the hope for a plentiful harvest.

The saying goes: " Rain moistens all the grains , and all things grow. "

Additionally, the Grain Rain solar term is associated with Cangjie, the inventor of Chinese characters.

Legend has it that after Cangjie's creation of characters, the sky rained grains and ghosts cried at night.
