Above the ground there are many things. We can see flowers, trees, animals, birds, and mountains. 

There are also a lot of things under the ground. 

We bring coal and oil up from under ground. We use coal and oil in many ways. 

We can heat houses and run trains and machines with coal and oil. 

In some places, beautiful stones are under the ground. They are jewels.
