She is a celebrity who appears in many movies. comedy n. A comedy is a play, movie, story, or television show that is funny. They are watching a comedy in the movie theater. download v. To download is to copy a file or program from one computer system to another. He is downloading new software onto his smartphone. episode n. An episode is a television or radio show that is one part of a series. They are watching an episode of their favorite TV show. item n. An item is an individual thing. The museum has over 3,000 items of historical interest. orchestra n. An orchestra is a group of musicians who play instruments and perform together. The orchestra is playing classical music. passage n. A passage is a section of a book, poem, or speech. She is highlighting an important passage in the book. performance n. A performance is an activity that a person or group does to entertain an audience. The boy's performance in the school play was excellent. performer n. A performer is a person who acts, sings, or dances for an audience. All of the musicians in the band are great performers.

To release something is to allow it to be shown, sold, or published. The singer will release her new song this week. rhythm n. A rhythm is a regular, repeated pattern of sounds or movements. They are dancing to the rhythm of the hip-hop music. scene n. A scene is a part of an act in a movie or play. The cartoon's opening scene is very funny. series n. A series is a set of books, articles, or stories, that involve the same group of characters or the same subject. Harry Potter is a popular series of books by writer J. K. Rowling. shot n. A shot is a part of a movie that is filmed by one camera without stopping. The TV show's opening shot is of the city. statue n. A statue is an object that is made from stone or metal. The Statue of Liberty is in New York City. whistle v. To whistle is to make a high sound by blowing air through your lips or teeth. She is whistling to the tune of her favorite song.

J.K.Rowling Writer J. K. Rowling was born in 1965 in England. Rowling read a lot of books when she was growing up. She also wrote her own stories. Even though Rowling was a good writer, she never expected to one day become a celebrity for her stories. As an adult, Rowling imagined an entire magical world of witches and wizards. This world would one day become the Harry Potter series. However, Rowling had to overcome a lot of hard times and rejections before her first Harry Potter novel was published. She eventually sold the novel to a publishing company called Bloomsbury. Soon after, it was finally released to the public. At the time, Rowling didn't realize Harry Potter would go on to become one of the most famous book series ever. The series was made into popular movies. It also inspired scenes in other movies and TV episodes. Harry Potter even inspired performances in plays, passages in books, poems, orchestras, and biographies. The well-known Harry Potter characters soon appeared on items such as clothing, toys, statues, and games. Nowadays, you can download the movies or ebooks onto your electronic devices. It's no wonder that J. K. Rowling became the UK's bestselling living writer. She even became the first person ever to make one billion dollars by writing books!
