Long ago in ancient China, a man named Ji Liang was desperate to find a wife.

Liang had many good qualities, but one handicap.

His left leg was shorter than his right and so he walked with a limp.

Ji Liang eagerly met potential wife after potential wife, only to find disappointment every time.
