Chapter 1 Our Home in Space Have you ever looked up at the night sky? You were looking out into space. Nobody knows how far space goes. We only know that it is super-huge!

You have a home in this vast place. That home is the Earth. The Earth is special. It is the only spot in space known to have life.

The Earth is part of a space neighborhood called the solar system. The sun is at the center.

The Earth travels around the sun. So do all of the other planets in the solar system.

Chapter 2 Our Neighbors There are eight planets in the solar system, including Earth. Let's meet our neighbors! The biggest planet is Jupiter.
