The Night Before

The Night Before… Frank and Mary were so excited. Why?It was Christmas Eve—almost time for Santa Claus to come. “ It's time for bed, " said Dad. “ You don't want to be late for bed tonight. " “ But wait, ” said Mary. “ We have to hang up our stockings! ” Mary pulled out four red stockings: one for Mom, one for Dad, one for Mary and one for Frank. Dad hung them by the fireplace. “ I think you're ready, ” said Mom. “ You'd better get to bed. ”

“ But wait, ” said Frank. “ We have to frost the cookies and put them on a plate for Santa! ” So, Frank and Mary frosted the cookies. “ I think you're ready now, ” said Dad. “ You'd better get to bed, ” said Mom again. “ But wait, ” said Mary. “ We need to write Santa a note! ” Mary wrote a note and placed it on the table beside the plate of cookies. “ Now we're ready, ” said Mary and Frank together. Frank and Mary went to bed and waited for Santa Claus and Christmas morning.
