Billy's Blanket

Billy's Blanket Bily had a blue blanket named Blue. Billy dragged Blue along everywhere he went. Blue got very dirty. " I'll wash Blue and it'll be nice and clean, " said Billy's mother. " No, " cried Billy. " Don't you want Blue to be nice and clean?" asked Billy's father. “ No, " cried Billy. " That dirty old thing. " said Billy's sister. “ It's dirty and smelly. " " I don't know what to do, " said Billy's mother. " Blue is dirty and smelly. ” Billy took his nap. He closed his eyes and pulled Blue over his head. He was nice and warm.

Billy's mother had an idea. While Billy slept, she cut Blue in half. She washed one half. Then she switched the pieces and washed the other half. Now, there are two Blues, but Billy doesn't know it.
