Lots of Presents

Lots of Presents It was Jessie's birthday. He was holding a big box wrapped in pretty red and gold paper. It also had a big gold bow on top. Jessie took off the gold bow very carefully. Then, he took off the red and gold paper very carefully. Underneath was the box. Mom and Dad said, “ Open it! ” Jessie opened the box and took out a great big red truck! It had bells and a ladder. It was a fire truck! Jessie climbed into the box. It was a pirate ship! Jessie pulled the red and gold paper around his shoulders. It was a prince's cape!

Jessie then put the beautiful gold bow on Mom's head. She was a princess! Dad smiled, “ Do you like your present?” Jessie laughed, " I love ALL of my presents: the truck, the pirate ship, the prince's cape and the crown for Mom! ” “ This is the best birthday ever! ”
