Splat the Spider

Splat the Spider Suzie ran into the kichen and yelled to her mom, “ I hate spiders! They're so big and hairy! " Mom was grooming Bruno, the family dog. She looked up, confused. Then she smiled and said, " Well, so is Bruno. ” “ Go SPLAT it! ” shouted Suzie. “ Why?” Mom asked. “ It has long legs! ” yelled Suzie. “ So does Bruno, ” said Mom again. “ It's ugly and l don't like it! ” sobbed Suzie. Mom stopped brushing Bruno. " Why don't you like it?" “ Because l just don't! " said Suzie. " Do you like spiders, Mom?” “ No Suzie, I don't. ”

“ So then, why won't you SPLAT it?” demanded Suzie. “ No, Suzie. Where is this spider?” “ It's in the bathroom. ” Mom went into the bathroom, got the spider, and moved it to a safe place. Mom smiled and said, " You are a little girl, right?" Suzie nodded. “ How would you like it if a big bad giant wanted to splat you just because you were small?" Finally, Suzie understood what her mom was trying to say.
