Daddy-Daughter Day

Daddy-Daughter Day Today after school, Sara and her dad are going to the beach. Sara loves splashing in the waves and digging for sand crabs. Afterwards, they will walk to the ice cream shop. Sara likes the bubble gum flavour ice cream there. It has real gumballs in it! “ Today is Daddy-Daughter Day! ” Sara told her friend, Rachel. “ That's great, ” Rachel said. She sounded sad. “ What's the matter?” “ You're just lucky, that's all. " Rachel didn't have a  dad. Sara understood. Then, Sara had an idea. " Would you like to spend the day with me and my dad?"

“ It's your special day, ” replied Rachel. But Sara thought the idea was grand. And so, the three of them spent the afternoon together. They got the bubble gum ice cream and blew bubbles all the way home. Sara discovered that sharing her special day with her friend made it even more special.
