Popcorn

Popcorn Mr. Kelly has been teaching science for nearly twenty-five years. Every day, he tries to inspire his students. That's why there is never a boring moment in his science class. Today, he says, " We will make popcorn. ’ On his desk is a small pot, a small stove and a bowl of raw popcorn. He lights the stove and then puts the popcorn in the pot. The pot gets hot fast. Soon, everyone can hear the sound of corn popping. A strong smell of popcorn comes out of the pot! Five minutes later, everyone is eating popcorn.

“ Why does it pop?” asks Mr. Kelly. No one knows the answer. " In each little grain of corn, there is a small drop of water. The heat turns the water to steam. The steam is powerful. It breaks the shell and makes the corn pop, " says Mr. Kelly. “ Regular corn will not pop. Why?There are no drops of water in the kernels. So when the kernels are heated, there is no steam to burst out. " Everyone loves the tasty pop-corn. Now we all know why popcorn pops. The mystery issolved!
