Apples and the Pie

Apples and the Pie It was a nice autumn day. Mom and Dad decided to take the family to the apple farm. “ Yay! ” shouted Will and Ann. The apple farm was one of their favourite places to go. When they arrived at the farm, the air smelled sweet and yummy. Apple trees grew in rows on top of the hill. The kids could see perfect apples hanging on every branch.

A tractor pulled them on a wagon up the hill. There, they picked many different kinds of apples, filling a big basket to the top. Will bit into an apple. It made a loud, crisp sound. Ann bit into an apple and juice started dripping down her chin. After Mom paid for the apples, the family took their basket of apples home. Mom peeled and sliced the apples. Then she rolled the dough. Finally, after all that work, she served everyone a slice of fresh apple pie. Yum!
