Red Vest Day

Red Vest Day Dick pulled on his red vest. Today, he and the rest of his class were all going to wear red vests. Why?They were going to clean up trash along the road. They were wearing red vests so that anyone driving a car along the road could see them. Even Mr. Tyler, the gym teacher, was going to wear one. Mr. Tyler gave everyone a black bag. “ I want you all to be careful, " he told them. " We don't want anyone getting hurt. ”

The boys and the girls worked hard. When the bags were full, the boys placed them along the side of the road. “ I didn't think we'd find so much trash, ” said Dick. His dad was going to take the garbage to the dump in his truck. Seeing the truck loaded with the full bags of trash, the children were happy to have played a part in cleaning up their town.
