The Little Red Teapot

The Little Red Teapot Last winter, I had a bad cold. I could hardly breathe through my nose. In the morning, my mother brought me a little red teapot. “ Tea? I don’t like tea! ” I said. “ I know, ” Mom said. “ But tea is one of the best things you can drink. It’s very healthy. This is a special tea for when you are sick. ” There was no way out. I brought the cup to my lips and took a small sip. The tea was strong and bitter. I knew my mom was trying to help me. So I took another sip. Within a few hours, I could breathe through my nose again!

Was it the tea? I don’t know. But I do know that the next time I’m sick, I’ll be looking for that little red teapot again!
