No More Pork Irene received a little piglet from her aunt. But it wasn't a real pig. It was a wool piglet that her aunt had knit. Little Irene just loved it! After Irene received this gift, something unusua happened. Irene stopped eating pork. And she would not let her parents eat pork either. “ Why?” asked her mother.

lrene answered, " Because piglets are my friends. I don't want them to be killed. " Later, Irene told her mom about her plan for the future. “ I want to have a HUGE house when I grow up, ” she said. “ Why do you need a huge house?” asked her mom. “ Because, ” she said, " I want to invite all the piglets in the whole world to live there. " lrene's mom looked at her little girl. She realized just how much Irene loved piglets!
