One Story A Day

Pieces of Me One day, my mom and I were looking at our family pictures. “ You look so much like your daddy when you smile, ” Mom told me. “ Really?” I said. “ But I have your eyes, right Mom?” “ That's right. ” A couple of days later, while I was practising my dancing, Mom said, " Did I ever tell you that my daddy owned a dance studio?I bet you get your grace and love of dancing from him. ” Grandpa died before I was born. But after hearing my mom say this, I felt that I knew him better since we had something in common. “ Who else am l like?”

“ Let's see. You have a lovely singing voice like Uncle Kevin. And, you love girly things just like I did when I was your age. ” “ I like those pieces of me, ” I said as I ran upstairs to sing to my dolls. l like that there are pieces of me that are all my own. But most of all, I love the pieces that I share with the people l love.
