LEARN to Read C How was Sally's interview? Read and find out. Sally was feeling very nervous before her interview at Welcome Secondary School. All her relatives said it was a very good school. Many of her friends wanted to go there too. 'I'm scared that I'll be too shy. I don't feel confident, 'Sally told her parents. Her parents encouraged her. 'Don't be shy. I'm sure you'll do well, ' said her mother. 'I'll help you practise some possible interview questions and answers, ' said her father. In the days before the interview, her parents were patient and kind. They gave Sally advice about what to do and say at the interview. Principal On the day of the interview, Sally's parents supported her by going with her. While they were waiting outside the principal's office, they told her, 'Just take a deep breath and do your best. 'As Sally knocked on the door, she gave her parents a brave smile.

The principal started the interview by asking, What school activities do you like?' For a moment Sally Could not think of anything to say. She Could not remember what she had practised with her parents. Then she remembered her mother's advice: Just be yourself. So she relaxedand replied, 'I like drama and art. To be honest, I'm not very good at sport. ' After that Sally had no problem answering the other questions. At the end of the interview, the principal shook hands with Sally as shewent out of her office. The principal said, 'I look forward to seeing you again, Sally. ' Sally looked relaxed and confident as she came out of the principal's office. Her parents asked how she thought she did at the interview. Sally simply said, I've done my best.
