Chapter 7 The new cinderella A Read the first part of the play. Characters Sister I Sister 2 Cinderella Mrs Lewis Fairy Prince Footman scene 1(In the study at Cinderella's home) Narrator: Once upon a time there was a young girl called Cinderella. She lived with her stepmother Mrs Lewis and her two stepsisters. Cinderella worked very hard but her stepmother and sisters were always unkind to her. Sister I : We've got an e-mail. Look! An invitation to a ball at the palace! The prince is looking for a wife! Sister 2 : How exciting! Maybe I'll be the new princess! Look! It says 'To Mrs Lewis and her daughters'. Cinderella: Can I go to the ball? Narrator : Mrs Lewis and her daughters were shocked. Mrs Lewis: Don't be silly. The prince doesn't want to meet you. Scene 2(In the bedrooms at Cinderella's home) Narrator : On Saturday, the day of the ball, Cinderella worked extra hard. Sister I : Have you ironed my dress yet, Cinderella? Cinderella: Which dress? Sister I : The dress with the big ri

scene 3 (In the living room at Cinderella's home) Cinderella: Oh dear. I'm so tired. (sitting down) Narrator : Just then a fairy appeared. Cinderella was frightened. Cinderella: Who are you? Fairy : I'm your fairy godmother. You look unhappy, Cinderella. What has happened? Cinderella: My stepmother and sisters have just gone to the ball. I want to go too but I don't have a beautiful dress. (crying) Fairy : Cheer up! I can give you a dress. Look! (waving wand) Narrator: The fairy waved her wand and suddenly Cinderella had a beautiful purple dress. Cinderella was surprised. FairyNow, to help you get to the ball, bring me a telephone, a cat and two fish. Hurry! Narrator: Cinderella went to look for the things. FairyHave you got everything? Good. (waving wand) Narrator : The fairy changed the telephone into a car. She changed the cat into a driver and the fish into bodyguards. Cinderella was ready to go to the ball. Narrator : The prince liked Cinderella very much. He danced and talked with her all night. Prince : Would you like to do something exciting?Have you ever flown in a helicopter? Cinderella: No, I've never flown in a helicopter. Have you? Prince : Yes, I have. Cinderella: How many times have you flownin a helicopter? Prince : Many, many times.
