花生琼斯 · 1 Peanut Jones and the Illustrated City
Epilogue Two weeks later, Peanut was sitting with Rockwell in the dining hall. She didn't want to admit it, but she was enjoying having somebody to chat with every lunchtime, especially when that someone had also shared the adventure of a lifetime in Chroma. 'So,' said Rockwell, with a mouth full of tuna-and-jam sandwich, 'how did you get on?' 'I think it's finally ready,' replied Peanut. 'I've made quite a few improvements to the design. For starters, it's not made of dressing-gown cord. It's far more robust and waterproof. Now I just need to reload it with supplies.' 'Great!' Rockwell put a tick next to the word 'bandolier' in his notebook. 'So what are we waiting for?'
'Nothing. We're good to go to the National Portrait Gallery this weekend. I'll just tell Mum we're going to the Science Museum or something.' 'Cool. And Little-Bit?' 'I had to promise she could come, I'm afraid.' 'That's OK. It wouldn't be the same without her.' Peanut opened her lunchbox and picked up a ham roll. She was just about to take a bite when she noticed something sticking out from underneath her fruit bar. Something yellow. It was a Post-it note. 'I don't remember putting that there,' she whispered. She pulled it out. Someone had drawn a thick, black 'L' shape on it. Then she noticed something else. Tiny handwriting, just visible, running vertically along the edge of the note. She held the Post-it note a few centimetres from her face and squinted to read it. And that's when everything changed.
