花生琼斯 · 1 Peanut Jones and the Illustrated City
65 Floor Ninety-Nine, Cell One The tiny room was now crammed with people, all holding their breath. Little-Bit was sitting on the floor, Rockwell was wedged between the bed and the wall with the type on it, Peanut was standing with her back against the door, and sitting on the chair with a very waggy Doodle on his lap was Malcolm Markmaker. 'You again,' he said. Are you all OK? I saw what happened to you. How did you escape?' 'There's no time for that,' whispered Peanut urgently. 'We've got to get out of here before Mr White and the RAZERs realise we're not in our cells.'
'What about the other prisoners?' said Rockwell. 'And your dad?' 'Your dad?' said Mr M. 'Yes. Gary Jones. Apparently he isn't here any more. He escaped a couple of days ago. And we'll have to come back for the other prisoners,' said Peanut. 'Right now, the most important thing is getting Mr M here back to Mrs M. You remember what she said: he is essential to the Resistance and their fight against Mr White.' 'Mrs M?' cried Mr M. 'You've met my wife?' 'How do you think we knew you were here?' said Peanut, smiling. Suddenly, they heard metallic voices coming from just outside the cell door. 'I think there are RAZERs outside. We're trapped,' said Little-Bit. 'We're going to need to take the quick way down,' said Peanut. ' Er, what's the quick way down?' asked Rockwell nervously.
