Winnie's BooK Day

"I'm bored today," said Winnie. "I'm bored all the way from my head to my smelly toes!" Even being upside down was boring.

"Am I being boring, Wilbur?" Winnie asked. "Meeow," nodded Wilbur. "Sorry," said Winnie. "Let's go into town and see what's going on." So Winnie and Wilbur set off for a walk.

Winnie and Wilbur walked past the school. It was Book Day, and all the children were dressed as characters from books. There were lots of witches! "I'll fit right in!" said Winnie happily.

One girl even had stripy tights like Winnie. "Follow me," she said to Winnie and Wilbur. "You can be in my class."

The teacher was taking the register. She was wearing a cloak with a red hood. When she called, "Winnie the Witch," Winnie and the girl both said... "Yes!" "Yes!"
