The Plan where we would Lure Mean Cat out of the House with Her Favourite Food and which I, Dave Pigeon, called 'The Most Brilliant Plan'
The Staring Plan didn't work one bit because Mean Cat didn't even notice us. We'd been sitting on the window ledge staring for ages. My eyes were getting sore and my stomach was grumbling for lunch. Mean Cat tossed her green mouse behind the sofa and then started to use one paw to play with the other paw, which is the only thing more catbrained than the Staring Plan. Or when Humans invented balloons. One thing was clear: she wasn't being scared away any time soon. Dave looked down at Mean Cat playing her paw game. 'We need a way to lure Mean Cat outside,' he said. 'Once she's outside we can get rid of her for good.'
Don't tell Dave, but I've worked out that if I tap on the side of the typewriter it sounds like I'm typing even when I'm not. Skipper? Yes, Dave? Have you stopped typing? No, Dave. Did you write that down? Yes.
Are you sure? Yes. Did you type that? Yes. That bit just now when I asked, 'Did you type that?' Yes. Read me what you've just typed.
You asked, 'Did you type that?' and I said, 'Yes! Then you asked, 'That bit just now when,' I asked, 'Did you type that?' and I said, 'Yes,' and then you said, 'Read me what you've just typed!' Are we on the bit with 'The Most Brilliant Plan' yet? Soon. We sat on the window ledge, resting our feathers against the brick wall. The kitchen door swung open into the garden.
