9 Setting a Trap Fixit and Rusella were busy over the next two days...

Fixit ruined more toys with his elf magic. All over town, Violet saw action figures that couldn't move. Toy trucks with square wheels. Teddy bears that growled. There were so many unhappy children. It was terrible!

And Rusella spread mixed-up messages all over town. Violet's mom missed a hair appointment. Violet's dad ordered five hundred jars of pickles for the restaurant instead of five!

Each day, Ms. Rose gave them homework. And each day, the kids in the class did the wrong homework. The whole town was falling apart! Violet was busy, too. She bought a can of alphabet soup. She talked to Sprite to find out what other food fairies like. They made a fancy pie made of rose petals and honey, two fairy favorites.

Then Violet found pixie-sized dishes in her toy box. "This is a sweet way to trick pixies," she told Sprite. "This fairy picnic is going to be fun!" "Maybe, Sprite said. But he didn't sound so sure.
