Chapter 2 SPARKLY SLEEPOVER? MONDAY Dear Diary, Did you know sleepovers have themes sometimes: Bella was trying to think of a theme this morning. What kind of party should it be, Bub?

I didn't care about the theme. All I cared about was breakfast. But Duchess was blocking my bowl. I growled at her. Arrrrrr. Is that supposed to scare me? Duchess stayed put. But Bella perked up. Bub! That's a great idea! "Arrrrr!" We'll have a PIRATE PARTY! Do pirates get breakfast? We'll start prepping for the sleepover when I get home from camp. See you later, Bub!

I decided to take a nap while Bella was gone. Time for some sleepover practice! Don't you know? No one sleeps at a sleepover. Says who? Says me. Before you came along, Bella had a sleepover with her cousins. I hardly slept at all! I started to worry, Diary. If you don't sleep at sleepovers, what do you do?

When Bella got home, she pulled out the craft supplies. We need to test out a craft for the sleepover! Oooh! Are there sparkles? If there are crafts at sleepovers, I'm in, Diary! Pirates love parrots. Let's make parrot masks! Aaa-choo!

I did my best to help Bella make a sample mask. But most of the feathers ended up on ME instead of the masks. Duchess couldn't stop laughing. All done! What do you think, Bub? I think I don't like feathers. SQUAWK! Does Polly want a cracker?

Diary, I wish I was captain of a pirate ship right now. I'd make that cat walk the plank.
