Chapter 1 "Watch out!" Peter Parker's eyes widened as he leaped over a dog. "Thanks, MJ," he called over his shoulder to the red-haired girl who had issued the warning. He held her by the hand and pulled her along with him. Peter and his friend Mary Jane Watson skirted a sandwich board and raced past a pretzel stand. But despite the obstacles in their way, they didn't slow down. They ran. Fast.

New York's Coney Island was full of people enjoying the beautiful summer day. They strolled down the boardwalk. They rode the Ferris wheel. They lounged on the beach. Only Peter and MJ seemed in a hurry to get anywhere. Did Peter know something no one else did? Thanks to his secret identity- Spoiler: Peter Parker is Spider-Man!— Peter often found himself rushing off to fight crime. Was the Sandman stealing all the sand on the beach? Had Doctor Octopus taken over the Aquarium?

"There it is!" Peter hollered. He dropped MJ's hand and sprinted the rest of the way to the Ford Amphitheatre. A banner that read THE FUTURE IS NOW SCIENCE EXPO hung above the entrance where a line was starting to form. Peter took his spot at the back of it and grinned.

Osborne exiting the Amphitheatre. "Harry!" he said. "What are you doing here?" "My dad's company, Oscorp, is sponsoring the Expo," Harry answered. "I've been here all morning. Why don't you guys hang with me backstage?"
