Chapter 10 "Thanks for the workout, web-head," the Sandman said. "But it's time my money and I got going." The Sandman reached his hand into the sandbox. He pulled out the bags of cash. He took a step toward the playground's exit.

"So soon?" said Spider-Man. "But Squirrel Girl was just getting to know you." The Sandman spun around. He glared at Spider-Man, who was standing just beyond the big slide. "I told you to stay put," the Sandman said. "Guess the only way to stop a spider is to squash it." The Sandman charged at Spider-Man.

Spidey didn't move. The Sandman got closer. Spidey stood still. The Sandman kept coming and coming until he was only a few feet away from the web-slinger. Spider-Man stood his ground. But when the Sandman reached the bottom of the slide, Spidey shouted, "Balloons away!" Squirrel Girl sprang from the top of the big slide. Phinn's red wagon was next to her. "Hey, you dusty dope!" she called. "No one messes with my park!" Squirrel Girl sent an armful of water balloons tumbling down the slide. The first water balloon hit the Sandman on the foot. The second one landed on his thigh. The third burst against his knee. The fourth, fifth,

sixth, and seventh followed fast. And the water from the balloons turned the Sandman's lower body into mud. "Wha-what's happening to me?" the Sandman cried. "I can't move!" "What's the matter, Sandy?" Spider- Man asked as the rest of the eighteen water balloons burst against the bad guy. "Or should I call you Stucky?"
