CHAPTER FIFTEEN Awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga awooga. As Sharon's joyful 'AWOOGA!' filled the skies, the glow from Wyld Hilda's eyes began to fade. 'Woah,' said Nancy. 'This is nuts.' 'Is it over yet?' whimpered Frank. 'What's happening?' 'Sharon's OK!' said Frank. 'But Wyld Hilda seems to be… fading away.' Suddenly, Dr Khan ran towards Wyld Hilda. 'Please stay, Wyld Hilda!' he shouted. 'Please! You have centuries of wisdom. There is so much you can teach us about the world. So many mysteries you can help us solve!' Wyld Hilda slowly looked towards Dr Khan. 'SOZ,' she said. 'YOU KIND OF USED UP ALL YOUR TIME WITH THE PARTY CROW THING. BUT HOPEFULLY I CAN SEE YOU IN ANOTHER FIVE THOUSAND YEARS. BYEEEEEE!'

And Wyld Hilda suddenly burst into flames. 'Farewell, Wyld Hilda! Farewell, Wyld Hilda!' chanted the crows. Well, except Sharon, who was doing a breakdance and singing, 'I like to boogie-woogie! I like to boogie-woogie!' instead. Everyone watched the statue of Wyld Hilda turn to smoke and ashes. 'Anyone got any marshmallows?' asked Felipe the bee, who had once again judged the mood terribly. Ted and Willow stared at the smouldering statue. 'That was flippin' BRILLIANT!' said Willow. 'We did it! We really did it, Ted!' Ted could hardly speak, he was so overwhelmed. 'Well done, kids! I knew you could do it!' said Rufus, lifting Willow and Ted up and wrapping them up in a tight hug. 'Yeah, you were, like, amazing,' said Anoushka Wispy, with a smile. 'Yes, clap, clap, clap,' said Ingrid. 'I am too tired to flap my wings but I am doing it in my head very much, and so is Sir Charles.' 'Willow, what made you change your mind?' asked Ted. Willow looked at Anoushka, who blushed.

'Well,' said Willow. 'Noushki here reminded me what good friendship means. She came round to give me a bit of a pep talk and she brought me a bag of Cosmic Knobblers. And after I ate some, I did a reeeeeally terrible parp.' 'It was absolutely horrific,' said Anoushka, quietly. 'Anyway, when she ran away screaming, I realized that you never run away when I make terrible smells, Ted. And I make them a lot. And that's when I realized that we really are best furry friends for ever!' 'This is the most wholesome thing that has ever happened!' squealed Titus, and he started weeping uncontrollably. 'Aaaah, chill out, Titey,' said Willow. 'Let's not make a big deal out of it. Let's just HAVE A GROOVY GRIMWOOD PARTY!'

At these words, the Winged Jesters went entirely crackers and balloons filled the sky and a massive brass band started playing and everyone got covered in jelly and ice cream and the sun became a disco ball and… I think we all need a lie down, don't you? There was another knock at the door, even though Willow didn't really need to knock, seeing as she was standing outside her own front door. But she did anyway. When Flora opened the door, she raised her eyebrows in surprise. 'Hello, Willow and– oh! You've brought along some friends, I see,' she said, suddenly feeling a little shy. 'Hi, Mum! I'd like you to meet my best friend, Ted,' beamed Willow. 'Ted, this is my mum.' Ted took a step forward and held out his paw. 'Very pleased to meet you, Willow's mum. I've heard a lot about you. These are for you!' And he handed Flora a bunch of slightly crumpled bluebells.

'Oh, thank you, Ted,' said Flora. 'Lovely to finally meet you. Hello again, Rufus.' Rufus doffed his cap and did a little bow. 'Lovely to see you again, Flora,' he said. 'And this is my sister, Nancy.' 'All right,' said Nancy, giving Flora a nod. 'Now, last time we met you were a little bit busy, isn't that right?' said Rufus. 'I'm never not busy,' laughed Flora, who was indeed holding a paintbrush in one paw and a tape measure in the other. 'Mum, we're gonna help you,' said Willow. 'It's not right that there are 375 of us and you don't get any help. So, we've made a PLAN.' Flora put down the paintbrush and put her paws on her hips. 'Go on. I'm listening.' 'First up, I'm gonna take your bounciest bunnies out for treebonk practice every morning,' said Nancy. 'We can do it right here in Bunnyville, so you don't need to worry about the

smallest ones. Got plenty of good trees here. Anyway, that'll tire them out and get 'em out of your fur for a while.' Flora almost fell to her knees. 'YES! YES, OH YES! THANK YOU, NANCY. THANK YOU.' Willow held up a bit of paper. 'And me and Ted made this timetable. It's got all the house jobs on. So we can all take it in turns to do things.' Flora looked a little teary. 'Thank you, Willow,' she said. 'This will really help.' Rufus gave a little cough and stepped forward. 'And, er, I thought maybe you'd like to have a cup of tea with me on the boat,' he said. 'Just for a change of scene and that.' 'That sounds lovely, Rufus,' said Flora with a smile. Then she looked at Willow. 'Come here, you stinky little ratbag,' she said. And she gave her a big hug. Anoushka, meanwhile, had decided to go on her massive world tour… alone. She had ditched the idea of taking dancers on tour with her after realizing she'd have to share the stage, spotlight, outfits and fur-styling products with them. 'I'm just
