格林伍德 · 2 Let the Fur Fly!
CHAPTER SIX Holy Twinklenuts! Wiggy was a well-mannered badger, so he immediately stood up and dusted himself down. 'Wigthorpe Barrington Mario Sinclair, though everyone calls me Wiggy. DELIGHTED to make your acquaintance, sir!' He took Sebastian Silver's paw in his own and pumped it up and down vigorously. 'Charmed,' said Sebastian Silver, gently pulling his arm away. Ted's mouth hung open. 'It's you!' he said. 'You're him! I met you, like, yesterday!' Sebastian Silver looked down at Ted, frowning. Then he quickly gave a big grin. 'Oh yes!' he said. 'So, you somehow found your way over to Twinklenuts, eh? All the way from that funny little place you live in. Well, how wonderful to have you here.' Willow shoved herself in front of Sebastian and held out a stout paw. 'I'm Willow,' she said. 'I'm very cool and brilliant but don't ever call me cute, all right?'
Sebastian chuckled and gave a small bow. 'I wouldn't dream of it,' he said. 'Remind me, what's your little patch called again? Grizzletown, was it?' 'Grimwood,' said Wiggy. 'We're right next door to you!' said Willow. 'We've had the Swamp of Despair between us all this time. But thanks to my GREAT idea, we managed to bounce across it! YAY ME.' She beamed proudly. Sebastian Silver was quiet for a moment. 'I see,' he said after a while. 'And indeed, "Yay, you", little bunny. Do you know, in all this time, I didn't know anyone actually lived there. Anyway! Let me show you around my humble little home.' He led them through a cluster of trees, up a grassy bank and down a peaceful footpath. His shiny tail swished as he walked and the silver streaks in his fur flashed in the sunshine, looking very fancy. 'Welcome to Twinklenuts!' said Sebastian Silver, and he stretched out his arms. Ted, Nancy, Willow and Wiggy stood in silence and stared. It was so pretty. They looked upon a lush, green field, with flowers sprinkled through the grass. At one end of the field was a huge white tent, decorated with rainbow bunting. And at the other was a tall pole, with loads of colourful ribbons hanging off it. In the middle of the field was a small bonfire, surrounded by wooden toadstools, logs and picnic tables. Strings of fairy lights were draped over the trees. Small candles flickered in lanterns. And everywhere they looked, animals with shiny fur and bright eyes were feasting, dancing, singing and laughing.
This place sounds like a dreeeeeam! Any room for a tap-dancing woodlouse?

'Holy moly!' said Ted, jumping up and down on the spot. Rugs and beanbags were scattered under the branches of a large oak tree. Animals were lounging on them, snoozing or sipping drinks and having paw massages. Butterflies flapped around, telling each other jokes and laughing. It was perfect. A hare in a wispy dress was standing on a small stage near the bonfire, playing the guitar. A crowd had gathered around her and were swaying their paws in the air as she sang. 'That's Anoushka Wispy,' sighed Sebastian Silver. 'She's so talented. We have concerts here every day, you know.' 'Wow!' gasped Ted and Willow.
'There's also an absolutely darling little theatre over the way,' said Sebastian. 'I suppose you have a theatre too?' Ted and Willow looked at each other nervously. 'Um,' said Ted. 'Kind of.' 'How long have you lot been here for?' barked Nancy. 'Oh, forever,' said Sebastian Silver. 'You'll find Twinklenuts Forest on maps from centuries ago.' Nancy grunted. 'Grimwood not on any of these old maps, then?' she said. Sebastian turned to look at Nancy properly. A strange smile danced around his lips. It looked sort of friendly, but also sort of not. Nancy was no fool. She had seen that kind of smile before. 'Not that I'm aware of,' he said. 'But I will double-check, young lady. I honestly thought it was just, you know, wasteland. Rubbish, filth and emptiness. I am SHOCKED to discover that it could be anybody's actual home.' Nancy frowned. Willow bounced between them and clutched the hem of Sebastian's smart jacket. 'Is there more?' she shrieked. 'Please show us more! I'm going out of my MIIIIIIIND!' Sebastian laughed. 'Of course!' he said. 'You must see the Crystal Lake.'
