Chapter ONE It was a bright morning under the sea, and I was eating breakfast as quickly as possible! I wish my school was going on a sea-combing expedition today!' grumbled my stepsister, Princess Delphina, as she ate her Kelp Krunchies.

'I'm sure you'll go sea-combing with your school too,' said my stepdad, King Auster. 'One day.' Mum married Auster recently, so now I spend half my time in the palace and half my time with my dad in a small pearly pink house on the other side of Scallop City. It was hard to adjust at first, but I'm starting to quite like it.

'I'm so excited!' I squealed. Remember you're going to Dad's house after school, said Mum. 'I've packed a bag for you— and one for Inkibelle and I also popped Starfish Plushie in too.'

'Thanks, Mum!' Inkibelle is my pet octopus, and Starfish Plushie is my favourite cuddly toy. I swallowed the last of my Kelp Krunchies and whooshed up from my chair in a furry of bubbles. I grabbed my bag, gave Mum and Auster a hug, and swooshed out of the door.
