Chapter FIVE On the way home in the carriage I noticed that Delphina looked just a tiny bit glum. 'What's up?' I asked her. 'Oh, it's nothing really,' said Delphina. 'I think it's great that you gave your doll's house to the sea sprites. I'm just sad that I can't play with it any more!' King Auster laughed.

'You could have a doll's house for your birthday if you like, Delphina,' he said Delphina's face brightened. 'Can it be like Emerald's one?' she asked. With pink, green, and blue lights and tiny octopus chandeliers and a little treasure chest with real jewels in it?' 'Erm...' said Auster. 'We'll have to see what they have in the toyshop back in Scallop City.' 'Or...' I began, as a brilliant idea suddenly floated into my head. 'Why don't we make a new doll's house together? We can build it exactly how we want to with all the most magical things in it!'

Delphina gasped and bounced up and down on the carriage seat, her eyes round and glittering. 'Yes!' she cried. 'That would be so much fun! Let's make one and Emerald and I can share it!' 'Well, that sounds like a very nice idea,' smiled Mum. 'I'll have to get my tools out!' said Auster, looking a bit worried. 'DIY is not my best talent. I'm more used to er... doing kingly things. But maybe I could sew some little cushions for it with crowns on them?' 'Good idea, said Mum. 'And I'm really good at DIY so I can help the girls

make lots of the furniture!' I beamed at Mum and then snuggled down into the carriage seat with Inkibelle on my lap. Delphina and I grinned at each other. I felt so happy and content. I couldn't wait to get started on our new doll's house! And I couldn't wait to come back and visit the sea sprites again! I decided I would bring Dad to see them the very next weekend.
